Max Temperature

Out of the random cities generated, majority are located north of the equator. The reason for this is that the northern hemisphere has a larger fraction of the Earth’s land mass while the southern hemisphere has more of the Earth's oceans.

The scatter plot clearly shows that there is a very strong relationship between latitude and temperature. Temperature is warmer on cities closer to the equator (0 Degrees Latitude). The plot also shows that the northern hemisphere appears to be colder than its southern hemisphere counterpart. The reason is that the northern hemisphere has more land mass in regions closest to the north pole. In comparison, the land mass of the southern hemisphere is closer to the equator. This further proves that weather gets hotter as we approach the equator.
